An Indoor Garden might be a good fit for you, it is for me. Are you like me, a casual indoor gardener who likes to see plants grow? Fresh vegetables and Flower taste and smell great! But I do not have the time or space in my backyard for a garden. Plus there is the work involved in digging the dirt, planting the seed, watering, weeding, fertilizing, watering, etc. Why not have an indoor garden in the kitchen, family room or office or, you can, with the AeroGarden system, fresh herbs, vegetables and flowers all year long? Plus the system is a clean, no mess, low maintenance system that really Works! How do the plants grow in the AeroGarden? The system grows plants without dirt using a method of hydroponic gardening called aeroponics where the plant roots are suspended partially in air and partially in oxygen infused nutrient solutions. Because the roots are bathed with the ideal levels of nutrients, water and oxygen, plants grow significantly faster, are healthier and have a higher…

Here is a really tasty recipe:
20 Roma tomatoes, halved and seeded
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 cup finely diced onion
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon finely chopped oregano leaves
1 tablespoon finely chopped thyme leaves
1 cup white wine
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
In 2 (13 by 9-inch) pans place tomato halves cut side up. Sprinkle with oil, salt and pepper, onion, garlic, and herbs. Bake tomatoes for 2 hours. Check the tomatoes after 1 hour and turn down the heat if they seem to be cooking too quickly. Then turn the oven to 400 degrees and bake another 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and process tomatoes through a food mill on medium dye setting over a small saucepan. Discard skins. Add white wine, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes.
why not flip the cups upside down and draw around the tops? seems tedious to use a compass…

Great system! My only critique would be to keep your nutrient solution in something that keeps dark inside like a rubbermaid container and using dark hoses. (sunlight induces unwanted algie and bacteria growth). Georgeous set-up!
I use Miracle-Gro as well but I don't have a hydroponic system. Truly, you only want to chemically enrich your plants once a week or so. The excess nitrogen in the food will burn and eventually kill them. I use the soil method w/ Miracle Gro soil, water my plants every other day (although twice a day while I'm attempting to germinate seeds, once a day during the first week of life). Use plain water the majority of the time to wash out the chemicals, and do NOT use any chemicals for the two weeks prior to cutting. I feed them with Miracle Gro liquid once a week (diluted to specifications, of course). If you DO choose to use the Miracle Gro with the hydro system, I would suggest diluting it 2X the reccomendation.

RT Hydroponic lettuce is DELICIOUS. And, you've probably already eaten it at local restaurants.
hahahahahaha
You need a submersible pump and a hose. That would take care of all your problems. They range in price between $20 and $115 and you can get them at any hydroponics store or online. The price difference is due to the power and the clerk should be able to tell you what you need for your size tank and the height that it's in. Hook it up to an electric timer to drain as needed.
Don't forget to aerate your water as well so if you don't have one, buy an Air stone and Air pump as well. Again, you can find them online very cheap.
Good luck.
yes it is redundancy at its finest to use both. adding drip to dwc makes you not have to water them until the roots come out. adding drip to ebb and flow is adding risk and complexity to elegance. no drip line covers the roots as evenly as ebb and flow.
where can I get HPS light Fixtures for a good price and descret??
